The Kids and Families Impacting Disease through Science, or KIDS initiative is an advisory group of children, adolescents and families focused on understanding, communicating and improving the process of medical innovation for children. KIDS is sponsored by the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) Section on Advances in Therapeutics and Technology (SATT) in collaboration with the CTAAP Chapter and children’s hospitals.
KIDS Connecticut is based out of Hartford, Connecticut and works closely with Connecticut Children’s Medical Center, the University of Connecticut, and other local institutions.

The Kids Impacting Disease through Science (KIDS) Connecticut chapter is currently seeking new members to help us continue to have an impact on the future of paediatric medicine. This event will provide a chance for children, parents, and medical professionals to come together to learn about the role KIDS Connecticut plays within the International Children’s Advisory Network, as well as how you can get involved! This event will include raffles, informational booths, and the opportunity to speak with different members of the KIDS and iCAN community. Complimentary pizza dinner will be served.
